Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The Bahraini Unity Group announced in a statement that the security services are arresting several people after summoning them for interrogation in the continuation of their actions against Shiite citizens.
According to the statement, the Bahraini ruling system has arrested the following individuals: Nasser Al-Kushri (worshipper), Hajj Abdul Jabbar Mirza, Hajj Hussein Darwish, Ihab Al-Hamdi, Ahmed Hassan, Sayyed Abdullah Majid, Hussein Al-Khayyat, Mahmoud Muslim, Hajj Mehdi Saleh, two brothers named Ali and Hassan Al-Ghanim, Reza Ibrahim Muhammad Hamada, Sayyed Hussein Jafar and Muhammad Sarhan.
The Bahraini National Unity Party (BNU) said that in addition to the individuals mentioned, Bahraini authorities had also arrested two children, Mustafa Yousef and Zain Muhammad Ibrahim.
According to the statement, Shiite villages were on high alert and the ruling party had deployed its forces around most of the villages. After the ceremony ended and a number of citizens were summoned, they proceeded to arrest them.
The arrests against Shiites are part of an escalating campaign led by the Bahraini Interior Ministry in response to ongoing events in the region.
Bahrain’s Interior Ministry recently revoked the citizenship of 69 individuals and their families, claiming that they had expressed sympathy for Iran and praised Iran’s actions against Bahrain.
The alleged charges against the detainees included “spying for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps,” “treason,” “sharing footage of Iranian attacks,” “praising Iran’s actions,” and “inciting violence.” Some arrests have also been made for protests or social media posts related to regional developments.
Not long ago, Bahrain's House of Representatives suspended the membership of three members for opposing the measures taken against individuals accused of "aligning with Iran."
