The deepest invasion of the Zionist regime
The Zionist regime's army, while continuing its extensive airstrikes on Lebanon, announced the start of a widespread invasion in the Al-Shaqif heights and the Wad Al-Saluqi region in southern Lebanon.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): In their latest invasion, the Zionist forces captured the historic Beaufort Castle (Al-Shaqif Castle), a Crusader fortress in southern Lebanon, marking their deepest invasion into Lebanese soil in more than a quarter of a century.

The capture of the castle, which is located near the city of Nabatiyeh, came after days of fierce fighting and airstrikes on surrounding villages.

The entry of the occupying army into Al-Shaqif Castle does not mean that the Zionist forces are safe from the resistance's fire

Al-Mayadeen's reporter in southern Lebanon reported that the occupying forces have reached the Beaufort Castle on foot from the direction of Deir Mimas, and this advance does not remove them from the resistance's fire.

On Sunday, Al-Mayadeen’s correspondent in southern Lebanon reported that Israeli occupation forces reached Beaufort Castle after entering the fourth month of fighting, noting that this advance does not mean that Israeli forces are now safe from resistance fire.

The correspondent explained that this Israeli advance is the longest in the history of the conflict with the occupation forces, and that the Israeli forces reached this area through a side road from the direction of Deir Mimas, in the form of an infantry force.

He added that this area is only about 3 kilometers from the border. In this context, Al-Mayadeen’s correspondent said that the resistance is targeting occupation positions in various parts of southern Lebanon.

Al-Shaqif Castle or Shaqif Arnon is a historical castle located near the city of Arnon in southern Lebanon, located on a rocky hill overlooking the Litani River, the Marjayoun Plain and the Nabatieh region. Its elevated position gives it considerable strategic importance, as it dominates a large part of southern Lebanon and allows it to monitor the surrounding roads and routes.

Its roots go back to ancient historical periods, and the Crusaders expanded its structure in the 12th century, before witnessing successive battles over the centuries. More recently, its name has been linked to the Battle of Beaufort during the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982, giving it a special historical and military symbol.

Katz and Smotrich’s exaggerations
This is while “Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz boasted: “The battle in southern Lebanon will not end with the capture of Beaufort Castle and the destruction of Hezbollah forces.”

In statements that demonstrate the nature of the regime’s occupation, Katz said: “26 years after the retreat, our soldiers have reoccupied Beaufort Castle.”

Regarding the Israeli army's announcement that it had captured the strategic Beaufort Fort in southern Lebanon, the regime's Minister of War made a false statement, claiming: "This is a clear message to our enemies that they will lose their strategic positions one after another."

Katz added that the capture of the fort was carried out on the orders of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and that "this is one of the most important strategic points for protecting the cities of the Galilee."
