Oil prices rise amid rising tensions between Iran and the US
Oil prices in global markets rose significantly on Monday due to escalating military tensions in the Middle East and concerns about supply chain disruptions, with Brent crude reaching $93.89 per barrel and West Texas Intermediate crude reaching $90.19.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)- International Service: This price increase followed the exchange of military attacks between the United States and Iran, which has redoubled fears of the conflict spreading to vital energy production and transit areas.

In a statement, CENTCOM described its recent attacks on Iranian radar and drone facilities in the Goruk region and Qeshm Island as a “defensive” measure and a response to the downing of an MQ-1 drone, while the Revolutionary Guards, confirming the attack on a US air base, called it a direct response to Washington’s attack on a communications tower on Sirik Island.

Meanwhile, Iranian sources told the media a few hours ago: Given the continuing crimes of the Zionist regime in Lebanon and considering that Lebanon was one of the preconditions for the ceasefire and that this ceasefire has now been violated on all fronts, including Lebanon, the Iranian negotiating team is suspending “talks and exchange of texts through a mediator.”

These sources added: The immediate cessation of the aggressive and brutal operations of the Zionist regime’s army in Gaza and Lebanon and the necessity of the regime’s complete withdrawal from the occupied areas in Lebanon have been emphasized by Iranian officials and negotiators, and there will be no talks until Iran and the resistance’s opinion on this matter is met.

Iran emphasized: Also, the Resistance Front and Iran have set their determination to completely block the Strait of Hormuz and activate other fronts, including the Bab al-Mandab Strait, in order to punish the Zionists and their supporters.
