Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Sports Service: Viktor Berezov, Secretary General of the Russian Olympic Committee, expressed his gratitude in a meeting with Maulvi Ahmadullah Wasiq, Director General of the Olympic, Physical Education and Sports of Afghanistan, for the participation of the Afghan delegation in the international sports forum hosted in Russia.
During the meeting, Berezov, while praising the presence and participation of Afghan athletes and sports officials, presented special gifts from the Russian Olympic Committee to Maulvi Ahmadullah Wasiq.
In turn, Maulvi Ahmadullah Wasiq also appreciated the hosting of the Russian Federation and emphasized that holding such international meetings and forums can play an important role in strengthening sports relations between countries and developing sports at the global level.
He added that sports interactions between countries will pave the way for the growth of athletes' capacities, exchange of experience and promote healthy competition among the younger generation.
It is worth noting that the International Forum for Encouraging Young Olympic Medalists, hosted by Russia, began yesterday for two days. The aim of this program is to encourage young athletes and promote the spirit of healthy and professional competition at the international level.
