Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Mashhad: The second international conference "Ghadir and Resistance" was held on Tuesday at the holy shrine of Imamzadeh Yahya bin Zaid (AS) in the holy city of Mashhad. The participants of this international meeting emphasized the indissoluble link between the Ghadir Thought and the resistance against the arrogant front and the Zionist regime, and considered the current developments in the region to be among the most important challenges facing the Islamic world.
Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon, stated in a message to the second international conference “Ghadir and the Resistance,” which was held on Tuesday with the presence of seminary, academic, and cultural activists of the Resistance Front at the holy shrine of Imamzadeh Yahya bin Zaid (AS) in holy Mashhad: “We learned from the master of martyrs, Imam Hussein (AS), how to support the front of truth, liberate our land, live with dignity and honor, and carry the banner of Islam; even though this path requires great sacrifices.”
He continued his message, stating: “Today, the Islamic Resistance is facing the most severe confrontation since its establishment against the aggressor Zionist regime; A regime that, with the full support of America, continues to kill women, children and men, destroy homes and farms and displace nations.”
Referring to the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza and Lebanon, the Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon added: “This regime committed widespread crimes in Gaza and thousands of people in Lebanon have been martyred as a result of its aggression. Along the way, great leaders such as martyr Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, martyr Sayyid Hashem Safi al-Din and a group of resistance commanders were martyred, but the resistance, inspired by the school of prophecy, guardianship and waiting, has remained steadfast in the field.”
He noted: “The youth of the Islamic resistance in Lebanon have stood up against tens of thousands of Israeli army soldiers and the most advanced military equipment on land, sea and air; equipment that is continuously provided to this regime by America.”
In another part of his message, Sheikh Naim Qassem referred to the history of the formation of Hezbollah in Lebanon and said: “Hezbollah was established after the occupation of Lebanon by the Zionist regime in 1982 and with the allegiance of a group of believers to Imam Khomeini (RA). He outlined for us the path of supporting Palestine, confronting the Zionist enemy, Islamic unity, and jihad in the way of God.”
He also praised the support of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and stated: “It was a divine favor for us that His Holiness Grand Ayatollah Imam Khamenei, both during his presidency and after assuming the responsibility of leadership, has always supported the resistance and supported the jihad and resistance of the Muslim nations with his guidance.”
The Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon continued, referring to the position of guardianship in Islam, and stated: “God Almighty continued the path of guiding the nation through the guardianship of the Commander of the Faithful, Hazrat Ali (AS) and the pure Imams (AS) so that the chain of faith on earth would be established; A chain that connects the Islamic Ummah to God Almighty.”
Citing a hadith from the Holy Prophet (PBUH) about loving and following the Ahlul Bayt (AS), he emphasized the necessity of adhering to the guardianship and teachings of the Ahlul Bayt (AS).
At the end of his message, Sheikh Naeem Qasim described Eid al-Ghadir as “the completion of the divine proof, the establishment of the path of guidance, the strengthening of hope, and the source of goodness and blessings.”
