Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, while stating that Iran considers Lebanon a brotherly and friendly country, added: Iran has never sought to interfere in Lebanon's internal politics. We had views and considerations that we expressed, and Hezbollah is an important part of Lebanon's political structure.
Araqchi added: In the ceasefire, I asked the Pakistani Prime Minister to include "especially Lebanon" when stopping the war on all fronts. What stopped the war in the past two days was primarily the ability of the Lebanese resistance and the strength of the armed forces in Iran.
The Iranian Foreign Minister emphasized: Our positions are completely clear; the end of the war and the ceasefire must be achieved simultaneously on all resistance fronts, including Lebanon. During the negotiations for the ceasefire, I personally requested the Pakistani Prime Minister to specifically include the name "Lebanon" in the clause related to stopping the war on all fronts, which was ultimately achieved. Finally, the United States, after Iran's stance and pressure, prevented Israel from attacking Beirut.
The Iranian Foreign Minister also added: We have clearly stated to all interested parties that the attack on Beirut is a clear aggression and we will not remain silent in the face of it. Any attack on Beirut will have grave consequences and lead to a full-scale resumption of the war. At the moment when Israel threatened to attack the Beirut suburbs, we took a firm stance and the Iranian armed forces were on full alert for a counterattack.
Araghchi: Any hostile action will receive an immediate and decisive response
The Iranian Foreign Minister has warned: Any hostile action will be met with an immediate and decisive response, and what sanctions and war could not achieve, will not be achieved by further war.
Araghchi also said: Our armed forces are carrying out defensive strikes within the framework of the legitimate right to self-defense against places from which the United States is allowed to use to attack civilian shipping and violate the ceasefire.
