Ghadir; The continuation of the line of guardianship and the axis of unity of the Islamic Ummah
With the arrival of Eid al-Adha, speakers at a ceremony titled “From the Pledge of Ghadir to the Assistance of the Qaim of the Family of Muhammad (PBUH)” in western Kabul considered Ghadir to be the continuation of the line of mission in the form of guardianship and emphasized that the main message of this great Islamic event is to preserve the unity of the Ummah, continue the line of divine guidance, and pave the way for the realization of the noble government of Hazrat Mahdi (AJ).
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The ceremony to celebrate Eid al-Adha al-Adha was held, in the presence of scientific and academic figures and dozens of believers and lovers of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) by the Foundation of the Great Prophet (PBUH) under the title “From the Pledge of Ghadir to the Assistance of the Qaim of the Family of Muhammad (PBUH)” in western Kabul.

At the ceremony, religious scholar, Hojjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Sayyid Karim Hosseini Sajidi, pointed out the importance of the Ghadir incident and said that after the Prophet (PBUH) announced the wilayah of Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (AS), he ordered those present to convey this message to those absent, and thus, the Ghadir incident was transmitted among Muslims in a face-to-face manner.

Stating that more than 120,000 people witnessed the Ghadir incident, he added: “Even if Ghadir, from the perspective of some Sunni brothers, simply means love for Amir al-Mu’minin (AS), this love also has a high status, because love for the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) is considered one of the fundamental teachings of Islam.”

Sajidi emphasized that the Prophet (PBUH)’s insistence on conveying and transmitting the message of Ghadir was in fact an invitation to the Islamic Ummah to pledge allegiance to the line of wilayah from Imam Ali (AS) to Hazrat Mahdi (AS), and its ultimate goal is to establish the Mahdi-like government.

Further, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Sayyid Abdullah Zaki, head of the Commission for Deprived Areas of the Afghan Shia Ulema Council, stated that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) raised the issue of guardianship and imamate upon his return from the Farewell Pilgrimage to continue the guidance of the Islamic Ummah and prevent Muslims from wandering.

He added: “After the Prophet (PBUH), the Islamic Ummah without an Imam will be like a flock without a shepherd, and there was no person more worthy of continuing the path of divine guidance than Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (PBUH); a personality who was complete, comprehensive, and endowed with divine infallibility in all aspects.”

Referring to the place of the Ghadir incident in Islam, Zaki said: “Ghadir is the day of the completion of religion and the completion of divine blessings, and the appointment of Amir al-Mu’minin (PBUH) to guardianship was the choice of God Almighty, not a human choice.”

He also referred to the life of Imam Ali (AS) after the death of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), stating: "He was patient in order to preserve the nascent Islam and prevent internal disputes, and always maintained the spirit of unity and convergence among Muslims."

The head of the Commission for Deprived Areas of the Afghan Shia Ulema Council, emphasizing the need to preserve Islamic unity in the current circumstances, added: "Today, too, the enemies of Islam have targeted the essence of Islam by creating division; therefore, Muslims should follow the life of the Commander of the Faithful (AS) and take steps on the path of unity, empathy, and the elevation of the Islamic nation."

In another part of the ceremony, Sayyid Abul Qasim Hadi, head of the Economic Committee of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), referring to the position of the Ahlul Bayt (AS) in Islamic teachings, said: "The Holy Prophet (PBUH) likened his Ahlul Bayt to the ark of salvation of Prophet Noah (AS), and whoever clings to it will be saved."

He added: "Based on the prophetic hadiths, Amir al-Mu'minin Ali (AS) is to the Prophet (PBUH) as Aaron was to Moses (PBUH), with the difference that no prophet will come after the Prophet of Islam (PBUH)."
