Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Al-Monitor reported, citing informed American sources, that after the US military operation against Iran and the escalation of conflicts between the two countries in recent days, the Gulf states have concluded that Washington is not a reliable enough security partner.
One source said: “Before, the US was a safe option for full cooperation. Now they must consider a region where the US does not have full control over the cycle of escalating tensions.”
US military officials interviewed by Al-Monitor said that the conflict with Iran has exposed the limitations of US air power capabilities in the Persian Gulf region.
This has prompted Tehran to review the current balance of power and take more decisive action. From their perspective, the drones and missiles recently launched by Iran were a sign of this change in their assessments.
