Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Lebanese Mufti Ja’fari, Sheikh “Ahmad Qabalan,” sent a message to the country’s President, General “Joseph Aoun,” strongly criticizing his divisive statements.
Qabalan, pointing out that Aoun will lose his national credibility if he continues these behaviors, said: “We recommend that you stop taking such positions that are unworthy of the presidency.”
While appreciating Tehran’s supportive policies for the Lebanese people, he said: “It was Iran that threatened Israel with terrorism, saying that it would enter the war if it targeted the capital Beirut. The person who gave Israel the green light to attack Beirut was the US Secretary of State, not Iran.
The Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters recently warned the Zionist regime that it would target Israeli cities if it intended to attack Beirut and its southern suburbs.
The center also warned residents of Israeli settlements in northern occupied Palestine that if this attack on Beirut were carried out, they should immediately evacuate these settlements.
In response to these threats, the Zionist regime immediately stopped the attack on Beirut, while claiming that the cessation of these attacks was due to the request of the US president.
Lebanese Mufti Ja'fari also emphasized that Iran provided historic support for the liberation of Lebanon in 2000 and is still trying to prevent the plans of the US and Israel from being implemented.
While criticizing the Lebanese president's silence regarding Israeli crimes in the south of the country, he said: "Any national institution that does not represent the south, suburbs, and Bekaa will not represent Lebanon. Any institution that does not represent sovereignty and national struggles has no share in popular and national representation."
