Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Maulavi Gul Hassan Hassan, Ambassador of the Islamic Emirate to Russia, participated in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which was held with the presence of government officials, investors and representatives of different countries.
According to the newsletter of the Afghan Embassy in Moscow, the Afghan ambassador met and talked with a number of Russian officials, economic activists and the special representative of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on the sidelines of this meeting.
In these meetings, the parties exchanged views on expanding economic and commercial cooperation between Afghanistan and Russia, providing more opportunities for exporting Afghan products to regional markets, developing transit cooperation and strengthening regional economic ties.
Also, the two sides emphasized on the continuation of joint cooperation, increasing economic interactions and creating new opportunities for investment and trade between Afghanistan and Russia.
These meetings are held while the economic relations between Kabul and Moscow have experienced an expanding trend in recent years and the two countries have had numerous talks in the fields of trade, energy, transit and regional cooperation.
The presence of the Afghan delegation in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is also part of the efforts to attract investment, develop economic cooperation and expand commercial relations with the countries of the region and the world.
