Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Dozens of MEPs have called for the EU’s highest honor, the Order of Merit, to be revoked from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The reason for this request, they say, is Zelensky’s glorification of Nazi collaborators and allies during World War II.
Zelensky was one of the first recipients of the highest degree of the award, which the European Parliament established last year.
However, less than a month after receiving the award in mid-May, which was given to him for his “exceptional contribution to European integration and European values,” the Ukrainian leader signed a decree according to which one of the elite units of the Ukrainian army was awarded the title of “Heroes of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army.”
