Iran announces halt to new military operations; Israel given “painful response”

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: The Central Headquarters of the Khatam al-Anbiya, as the highest operational headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s armed forces, issued an official statement minutes ago, announcing the end of the first phase of the punitive operation against the Zionist regime and the halt to military operations.

The statement reads: “Following the aggressions and evils of the brutal Zionist regime in southern Lebanon and the Dahiya region, which were carried out with the support of the criminal America, the powerful armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran gave a painful response to this regime in order to support the oppressed people of Lebanon.”

The headquarters, referring to the dimensions of the operation carried out, stated: “A response from which the fake Zionist regime and its supporters should have learned a lesson.”

 

List of targets hit; 6 strategic targets in the occupied territories

Simultaneously with the issuance of this statement, the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting announced the official list of targets hit in the armed forces’ operation as follows:

1. Tiberias, 30 kilometers from the Lebanese border, a place of support for the Zionist regime’s armored brigades

2. Nahariya, 10 kilometers from the Lebanese border, a place of support for the regime’s armored brigades

3. Bazan Industrial Complex, the largest oil and gas refinery of the Zionist regime in Haifa

4. Ramat David Air Base, the origin of air aggressions against Lebanon

5. Tel Nof Air Base, one of the strategic bases of the regime's air force

6. Novatim Air Base, one of the most important air bases in the south of the occupied territories

According to this report, the operation of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which was carried out in two stages since last night, destroyed these six strategic targets with a combination of new generation ballistic missiles "Khybershakan", "Emad" and "Qadr-F". The most important military targets included a squadron of F-16 Sofa fighters at the Ramat David base, which was destroyed along with a number of helicopters. The strike on the Bazan industrial complex in Haifa was also announced as a response to the Zionist regime's morning attack on the Karun Mahshahr petrochemical plant.

However, the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters issued a clear warning to the other side in the final part of its statement, emphasizing: “If the aggressions and evils continue, including in southern Lebanon, much more severe and crushing measures will be on the way.”

 

This statement is being issued in a situation where the West Asian region has witnessed one of the most intense military confrontations between Iran and the Zionist regime in the past two days. The first stage of Iran’s operation was carried out last night in response to repeated violations of the ceasefire in Lebanon and Sunday’s attack on the suburbs of Beirut, and this morning, the Zionist regime attacked targets inside Iran using air-launched ballistic missiles. Subsequently, the second stage of Iran’s operation, titled “Nasr,” was carried out against Israel’s strategic air bases.

 

At the same time as the Khatam al-Anbiya base issued a statement to halt operations, the axis of resistance also came to the fore on various fronts: Yemen completely banned Israeli ships from the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait and fired missiles at occupied Jaffa, and hacker groups implemented the “unity of areas” equation by threatening widespread cyberattacks. The Strait of Hormuz and Bab al-Mandab were also blocked at the same time. Now, with Iran announcing the halt to operations, attention is focused on the reaction of the Zionist regime and its supporters; will the other side learn a lesson or will it pave the way for the “much more severe and crushing” measures that the Khatam al-Anbiya base has promised by continuing the aggression?!
