Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: Referring to US President Donald Trump’s claim that he was unaware of the recent attacks on the Lebanese suburb, Baghaei questioned these claims and said: “We should not lose sight of the fact that the US State Department has explicitly stated that the main reason for imposing this war on Iran is support for the Zionist regime.”
He added that, based on available information, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) remains “fully coordinated and cooperative” with Israel in both the defense and offense areas.
The Iranian diplomatic spokesman stressed that the US’s responsibility as one of the parties to the April 9 ceasefire agreement is “clear.” Baghaei stated: “Anything that happens in the region, whether the US itself is the cause of the ceasefire violation, through attacks on Iranian commercial ships or aggression against the southern regions of the country, or through the Zionist regime, will be directly responsible for it.”
