Moscow calls for direct talks between Palestinians and Zionists
The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that the main focus of the international community should be on holding direct talks between the Palestinians and the Zionist regime in order to resolve the crisis and achieve lasting peace.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Despite the Zionist regime's failure to fulfill its obligations under the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, Russia called for direct talks between Palestine and Israel.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said on Monday evening that it should focus on holding direct talks between the Palestinians and the Zionists.

"Maria Zakharova," the ministry's spokeswoman, stated that such talks should discuss issues related to the final status of the Palestinian territories and components for the existence of a Palestinian state that are acceptable to both sides.

According to Sputnik, Zakharova added: "It is necessary to establish historical justice and give the Palestinians the opportunity to establish an independent state in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, with East Jerusalem as its capital, and to coexist in peace and security with Israel." Russia had previously announced its position on resolving the Palestinian crisis based on the UN Security Council's version, namely the establishment of a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
