Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Representatives of the ministries of public health, agriculture, interior affairs, defense, intelligence, the Supreme Court, Kabul Municipality and some other government departments were present in this meeting, which was chaired by Maulvi Noor Jalal Jalali, Minister of Public Health.
In this meeting, the Minister of Public Health described the effective implementation of the law on preventing smuggling of food, medicines and health products as an important step towards improving the quality of health services and preventing the entry of low-quality medicines and substandard food into the country's market.
He called on the committee members to cooperate fully with the Ministry of Public Health in the process of implementing this law.
The meeting approved 11 items related to the implementation of the Law on Prevention of Smuggling of Food, Medicines and Health Products. It was also decided that the relevant departments will implement the specified tasks and report on their progress at the next meeting.
Health officials emphasize that smuggling of substandard medicines and food is one of the serious challenges in the public health sector and can endanger the health of citizens. For this reason, strict implementation of regulatory laws in this sector is of particular importance.
Experts also believe that strengthening supervision over the import and distribution of medicines and food can help improve the quality of health services, reduce diseases caused by substandard substances, and increase public confidence in the country's health system.
