Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): US President Donald Trump claimed this morning (Wednesday) that he had carried out attacks on southern Iran in response to the downing of an American helicopter.
ABC correspondent Jonathan Karl wrote on his personal page on the social network "X" (formerly Twitter): "I spoke with Trump on the phone at the same time as the CENTCOM statement about the US retaliatory attacks against Iran. He said these words."
According to Karl, Trump claimed: "I think it is very important that we respond. They shot down a helicopter and we are responding as we speak.”
He also added: “This is a response to what they did to our helicopter last night and I believe that this response should be very strong and powerful and this response is.”
