Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The British Maritime Trade Operations Organization (UKMTO) announced that it had received a report of a maritime accident about 20 nautical miles northeast of the city of Sohar, Oman.
According to the organization, one crew member was injured during the incident and two others are missing.
Also, no reports have been published so far about the effects or environmental damage caused by the incident.
The British Maritime Trade Operations Organization further added that a fire broke out in the engine room of an oil tanker and rescue forces and relevant authorities are following up on the situation of the vessel and its crew.
Meanwhile, India's Ministry of External Affairs said: "We strongly condemn the attack on the cargo ship Sitiblue off the coast of the Sultanate of Oman earlier today."
The ministry added: "21 Indian crew members out of 24 have been rescued, while 3 are still missing."
The Ministry of External Affairs said that the continued attacks on ships in the region are a cause for concern and a direct consequence of the ongoing conflicts in the region.
We reiterate our call for an immediate de-escalation of tensions and the completion of the ongoing talks to find a diplomatic solution.
