Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement announced in a statement today that a high-level delegation of Hamas met and held talks with the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, and announced that in this meeting, they discussed the process of negotiations and the movement’s position, as well as ways to integrate international efforts to completely end the war and its effects on the Palestinian people.
In this meeting, the Hamas delegation informed the Russian side about the details of the crimes and repeated aggressions of the occupiers in the Gaza Strip, Jerusalem and the West Bank, and the Zionist plans that aim to impose catastrophic realities.
Hamas leaders stressed the movement's full commitment to establishing the continuation of the ceasefire in a way that guarantees an end to the suffering of the Palestinian people.
The Hamas delegation also emphasized adherence to the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people until they achieve the right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state, and exchanged views on the latest developments in the region.
In contrast, Georgy Borisenko emphasized the Russian Federation's consistent and supportive position on the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
He said: Moscow is willing to advance the paths of negotiation to achieve security and stability, as well as maintain relations and continue contacts with the Hamas movement.
The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister also briefed the Hamas delegation on his country's diplomatic efforts to prevent a return to war and create a just political horizon for the Palestinian issue.
Finally, the Hamas delegation appreciated Russia's valuable diplomatic efforts and Moscow's important role in supporting the Palestinian cause and its people.
