Ministry of Mines emphasizes attracting foreign investment; Deputy Minister consults with the head of the Afghanistan-US Chamber of Commerce
The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has announced that the Deputy Minister for Policy and Programs of the Ministry, in a meeting with the head of the Afghanistan-US Joint Chamber of Commerce, discussed attracting and expanding investment in the country's mining sector and emphasized providing the necessary facilities for the presence of reputable investment companies in this sector.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: According to a press release from the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, Mr. Abdul Rahman Qanet, Deputy Minister for Policy and Programs of the Ministry, met and discussed with Jeffrey Griego, Head of the Afghanistan-US Joint Chamber of Commerce, in his office.

In this meeting, the Head of the Afghanistan-US Joint Chamber of Commerce expressed his readiness and commitment to support efforts to attract and expand investment in Afghanistan's mining sector.

In contrast, Abdul Rahman Qanet, while welcoming the interest of this institution in investing in the country's mining sector, assured that the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum will provide the necessary facilities and cooperation to attract investment from reputable companies in this sector in accordance with the Mining Law and applicable procedures.

It is worth noting that the development of investment in the mining sector is one of the important economic priorities of Afghanistan, and officials of this ministry have always emphasized the effective use of the country's mineral capacities for economic growth and job creation.
