Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: India has asked the United States to stop its "attacks" on ships near the Strait of Hormuz; this request was made after three Indian sailors lost their lives following an attack by Washington on a Tehran-linked tanker.

 

Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, said in a press conference on Thursday: "When this attack on the Seth Blue ship took place, we expressed our strong protest to the American side."

 

He added: "We emphasized that the welfare and security of our seafaring community is of utmost importance and these ongoing attacks must be stopped."
