New Poll: Trump’s Approval Rating at All-Time Low
A new poll shows that the US President’s low approval rating continues to weigh on his party ahead of the midterm elections, with Democrats leading the race for control of Congress against the Republican Party.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): A new NBC News poll shows that US President Donald Trump’s approval rating has hit its lowest point in his second term as Democrats surge ahead of the November midterm elections.

The poll, released on June 14, coinciding with Trump’s 80th birthday, found the president’s approval rating among all American adults at 39 percent, about five months before the crucial election.

That marks the lowest approval rating Trump has recorded in NBC News polls since his first term.

The network had previously recorded similar levels of support among registered voters in July 2020, amid the coronavirus pandemic and racial tensions following the death of George Floyd, who was pinned to the ground by a police officer.

Trump’s approval rating among rural Americans also fell to a low of 50 percent in June, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted June 3-8, down from 60 percent in February 2025, just a month after he returned to the White House for a second term.

Rural voters were a key factor in Trump’s presidential victories in 2016 and 2024. The Reuters/Ipsos data shows that his decline in support in these areas is driven by voters’ dissatisfaction with his handling of the U.S. economy and rising costs of living.
