China warns of Japan
The Chinese Ministry of Defense, expressing concern over the increasing trend of Japan's military buildup, warned that this approach could pose serious challenges to the stability and security of East Asia and increase regional tensions.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The Ministry of Defense of the People's Republic of China warned on Tuesday that Japan's militarization threatens the stability of the East Asian region.

Colonel Chen Shi, a spokesman for the ministry, said during a press conference that the rapid increase in Japan's military power is turning the country into a regional powder keg.

According to Sputnik, referring to Japan's efforts to amend its constitution to reduce arms restrictions and increase military spending, he explained: "Japan constantly raises the narrative of the threat from China to justify its militarization."

The Chinese military official added: "In fact, those who claim to be threatened are themselves the real source of the threat."

Japan's 2026 Defense Strategy Outline identifies China as "an unprecedented and major strategic challenge" and pledges to confront it with "comprehensive national power."
