Trump claims: Iran deal will be very strong and robust
US President Donald Trump said in a meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi that the Iran deal will be “very strong and robust.”
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Trump also claimed in defense of the deal that if an agreement with Iran was not reached, there was a possibility of a global recession, and described the alternative as “a global recession.” He added that in such a scenario, the Strait of Hormuz “would never have been opened.”

Trump went on to claim: “This is a memorandum of understanding, but it is a strong memorandum of understanding. This is not a two-paragraph memorandum of understanding. It is a long and relatively detailed memorandum of understanding that will become a normal agreement.”

Meanwhile, after publishing news about the cancellation of the Iranian delegation's trip to Switzerland to sign the memorandum of understanding, Fars News Agency quoted an informed source close to the Iranian negotiating team as saying: "As of the time of writing, the negotiating delegation's trip to Switzerland has not been canceled."

The source also added about the process of negotiations and documents being discussed between the parties: "Details related to the signing of the memorandum of understanding are still being discussed, reviewed, and consulted between the relevant parties, and a final decision has not yet been made in this regard."

The informed source emphasized that consultations are continuing at various levels, and any final decision regarding the signing of the memorandum of understanding or related programs will be announced.
