Foreign Minister and UN Under-Secretary-General Emphasizes Continuation of Humanitarian Cooperation and Constructive Interaction in Afghanistan
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Maulavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Minister of the Ministry, discussed the process of providing humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan, UN activities, and expanding bilateral cooperation in a telephone conversation with Rosemary DiCarlo, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations for Political Affairs and Peacebuilding.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Maulavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Minister of the Ministry, discussed the process of providing humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan, UN activities, and expanding bilateral cooperation in a telephone conversation with Rosemary DiCarlo, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations for Political Affairs and Peacebuilding.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs press release, in this telephone call, the two sides discussed and exchanged views on how to deliver humanitarian aid to Afghans in need and increase the effectiveness of the aid delivery process.

In this conversation, the UN Deputy Secretary-General appreciated the facilities and cooperation provided by the Islamic Emirate for the implementation of humanitarian activities and considered this cooperation important for the effective and timely distribution of aid.

Rosemary DiCarlo also provided information on recent developments related to UNAMA and the ongoing efforts of the United Nations in Afghanistan and explained the activities of this organization in the country.

It is said that the two sides emphasized the continuation of mutual understanding, constructive interaction and the expansion of further cooperation between the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and the United Nations.
