Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: According to Israeli media reports, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich emphasized the continuation of Israel’s aggression and occupation in Lebanon.
Smotrich’s statements were made while one of the clauses of the memorandum of understanding reached between Iran and the US is an immediate and permanent cessation of military operations on all fronts, including Israeli military aggression against Lebanon.
US Vice President J.D. Vance also acknowledged this issue, and he said this morning, Wednesday, that the understanding with Iran is a regional peace agreement that, if fully respected, will transform West Asia.
Even Donald Trump said yesterday at the G7 summit in France: "Israel has been fighting Hezbollah for a long time and many people are being killed, and you don't have to demolish an apartment every time you're looking for someone, because there are many people in those buildings and not all of them are Hezbollah."
However, in response to the Iran-US memorandum, the Israeli finance minister emphasized the continuation of the aggression and occupation of Lebanese territory.
According to him, Israel will not give in to foreign demands and pressures and will continue its military operations in Lebanon without making any concessions.
Referring to the signing of the memorandum between Iran and the US on Friday, Smotrich said: "There will be no withdrawal (from Lebanon); neither on Friday nor after."
According to this senior minister in Benjamin Netanyahu's cabinet, Israel will expand its military presence in Lebanon.
