Zabihullah Mujahid: Our Priority is Dialogue; Closing the Pakistani Embassy is an Option on the Table
Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, emphasized in a conversation with the media that the priority of the Islamic Emirate is “dialogue” and that it does not want tensions with Pakistan to reach a level that gets out of control. In response to a question about the possibility of closing the Pakistani embassy in Kabul, he considered this action “one of the options” if the Pakistani military regime’s attacks continue, but emphasized that for now, “the Islamic Emirate must be patient.”
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Referring to the Pakistani regime’s attacks, Mujahid said that the Islamic Emirate does not want the situation to get out of control and considers dialogue to be the main solution to resolve differences. At the same time, he warned that the continuation of Pakistani attacks may push Kabul towards countermeasures, including closing the country’s embassy in Afghanistan.

The spokesman for the Islamic Emirate also added that a “teeth-breaking” retaliatory response will be given to the Pakistani military regime’s aggression at the appropriate time.

These statements come at a time when relations between Kabul and Islamabad have become extremely tense following recent Pakistani attacks on parts of Afghanistan. The Taliban has repeatedly condemned Pakistani attacks, calling them a violation of Afghan sovereignty.
