Senior Afghan diplomat in Oman calls for resumption of visa issuance for Afghan citizens
The head of the Afghan embassy in Muscat, in a meeting with the head of consular affairs of the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, emphasized the resumption of the visa issuance process for Afghan citizens, facilitating the transfer of passport information, and addressing the situation of Afghan prisoners.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Afghan embassy in Oman has issued a press release announcing that Hafiz Omar, the head of the Afghan embassy in Muscat, met with Mohammad bin Nasser Al-Mubasli, the head of consular affairs of the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and discussed consular issues and issues related to Afghan citizens.

According to the embassy press release, the head of the Afghan embassy in this meeting called for the resumption of the visa issuance process for Afghan citizens and requested the relevant Omani institutions to provide the necessary cooperation to facilitate the transfer of passport information of Afghan citizens.

The two sides also discussed the situation of a number of Afghan prisoners in Oman and examined and exchanged views on ways to address their problems.

Oman is a Gulf country that hosts a number of Afghan citizens and workers. In recent years, issues related to consular services, visa issuance, and addressing the status of Afghan nationals have been the main focus of diplomatic discussions between the Afghan mission and Omani officials.
