Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Investment announced in a press release that the leadership of this institution, continuing its official visit to Kyrgyzstan, visited the Turktash cement factory and discussed the development of joint cooperation in the cement industry.
According to the press release of the chamber, during this visit, members of the Afghan delegation closely familiarized themselves with the advanced technologies, production capacity and operating process of the factory and exchanged views on the transfer of technical experience, the development of industrial cooperation and the creation of investment opportunities between the two sides.
At the end of the meeting, officials from the country's Chamber of Commerce and Investment and the managers of the "Tarktash" factory agreed on joint cooperation to establish a similar cement production plant in Afghanistan.
According to the Chamber of Commerce and Investment, the establishment of this factory can provide the basis for increasing domestic cement production, reducing dependence on imports, creating job opportunities, attracting investment, and strengthening the construction industry in Afghanistan.
Despite having rich raw material resources, Afghanistan still supplies a significant part of its cement needs from abroad. The development of cement production plants within the country is considered an important program to strengthen domestic industries, reduce imports, increase the added value of mineral resources, and grow the economy.
