Leaders of 40 countries to attend funeral of martyred revolutionary leader

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: The spokesperson for the farewell and funeral ceremony of the martyred revolutionary leader said: Senior officials and heads of different countries from about 40 countries will attend the ceremony and pay their respects to the high position of the martyred revolutionary leader with their presence.

 

Iman Attarzadeh, spokesperson for the farewell and funeral ceremony of the martyred revolutionary leader, said about the presence of foreign figures and heads of state at the funeral ceremony of the martyred revolutionary leader: In addition to the widespread presence of the people, political, cultural, scientific, religious, academic figures and elites from all over the world will also be present at the farewell and funeral ceremony to pay their respects to the holy body of the martyred revolutionary leader in Tehran.

 

He added: Also; Senior officials and heads of state from about 40 countries will attend the ceremony and pay their respects to the high position of the martyred leader.

 

The spokesman for the farewell and funeral ceremony of the martyred leader of the revolution noted: Details regarding the level of the delegations, participating countries, and the names of the personalities present will be announced soon by the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 

In this regard, a high-ranking delegation from Pakistan, headed by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, will travel to Iran to participate in the farewell and funeral ceremony on Friday. According to reports, Bilal Bhutto Zardari and a number of high-ranking Pakistani officials will also accompany the Prime Minister on this trip. The delegation is scheduled to arrive in Tehran at noon on Friday, July 3, and attend the official and diplomatic ceremony of tribute that will be held that evening.

 

Also, the Cuban Minister of Higher Education, along with a director general of the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will travel to Iran to attend the funeral. According to the announced schedule, these officials will arrive in Tehran on Thursday evening.

 

On the other hand, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Russia has announced that Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, will also travel to Iran to attend the ceremony. According to him, a delegation from the Russian Foreign Ministry, representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church, a group of Sunni muftis and a number of Shiite scholars of the country will also attend the ceremony.

 

Officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran have announced that so far delegations and senior officials from about 40 countries have expressed their readiness to attend the funeral of the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution, which indicates the widespread presence of foreign delegations in the ceremony.
