Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Ministry of National Defense announced in a press release that Mawlawi Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid, the Minister of Defense, visited the districts of Karan and Manjan, Zibak, Wakhan, and Pamir, as well as a number of border posts in the province, during his visit to Badakhshan province.
According to the press release, the Minister of Defense also visited strategic areas along Afghanistan’s borders with China, Tajikistan, and the imaginary Durand Line and closely assessed the security situation and readiness of the forces stationed in these areas.
During this visit, Mr. Mujahid, while appreciating the efforts and services of the border forces, emphasized that maintaining territorial integrity, national sovereignty, and protecting the country's borders is the shared responsibility of all security and defense forces and must be acted upon with full commitment.
He also noted that further efforts will be made to enhance the capabilities of the border forces, strengthen coordination between the security and defense sectors, and provide the necessary facilities and equipment.
