Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Ministry of Urban Development and Housing has announced that practical work of marking roads has begun in order to implement the detailed plan in the third section of Ahmad Shahi town of Lashkar Gah, the capital of Helmand province. The ministry says that with the completion of this stage, the process of distributing housing points to the deserving ones will begin in accordance with the provisions of the law.
The Ministry of Urban Development and Housing has issued a press release stating that this project has been implemented within the framework of the implementation of the detailed plan for Ahmad Shahi Town and its aim is to create the necessary infrastructure for orderly urban development and prepare the ground for the legal distribution of housing points.
According to this press release, after the completion of the road marking operation, the process of distributing housing points to eligible and deserving individuals will begin in accordance with the applicable laws and procedures.
Officials of the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing have emphasized that implementing such projects in line with the development of cities, improving urban management, and providing citizens with access to standard housing are among the priorities of this ministry.
Ahmad Shahi Town is said to be one of the major housing projects in Lashkar Gah, the capital of Helmand province, which is designed to accommodate eligible families, reduce the spread of unplanned construction, and orderly urban development.
In recent years, the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing, while implementing detailed plans in a number of towns in the country, has attempted to implement the process of distributing residential scores based on legal criteria and after completing the initial infrastructure, including roads and a network of passages.
