Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)-Qom: In a conversation with the media, Akbar Behnamjoo, the governor of Qom, explained the planned programs for the funeral ceremony of the martyred leader of the revolution in Qom, stating: The morning programs on Tuesday, July 6, will begin in the early hours of the day after the morning prayer, and the first part of the ceremony will be dedicated to holding prayers.
Referring to the manner in which the participants will be seated in the ceremony, he added: The initial gathering place of the worshippers has been determined in the holy Jamkaran Mosque and its surrounding spaces, including parking lots.
The governor of Qom continued: The prayer lines will be formed from the area of the Great Prophet (PBUH) Boulevard and in the direction of the Qibla, and by organizing the crowd, the necessary space will be provided for the prayer.
He stated: The official start time of the prayer will be determined based on the crowd's settlement process, and whenever it is ensured that the majority of the participants have settled in the predicted places and the arrival of the crowd has reached the final stages, the prayer will officially begin.
Behnamjoo said: After the end of the prayer, the holy body of the martyred revolutionary leader will move along the designated route towards the Boulevard of the Great Prophet (PBUH) so that people can also attend the funeral procession along this route.
He added: The plans have been made in such a way that the possibility of a large number of people being present along the axis of the Great Prophet (PBUH).
The Governor of Qom, emphasizing the need for the people’s support in carrying out this ceremony as well as possible, stated: The realization of the plans made requires the cooperation and support of the participants so that the route of the vehicle carrying the holy body can be maintained without interruption and with the necessary ease.
He noted: With the cooperation of the people and the observance of order along the route, the possibility of holding this ceremony in a grand manner and the large number of people being present along the axis of the Great Prophet (PBUH) will be provided, and a lasting scene of the farewell of the martyred leader will be created.
Meanwhile, Hojjatoleslam Walmuslimin Seyyed Ali Akbar Ojaqnejad, the guardian of the holy Jamkaran Mosque, also referred to the plans made for the ceremony and said: "At the request of the martyred leader's house and office, prayers will be offered over the holy bodies in the holy Jamkaran Mosque, and all necessary arrangements have been made for this purpose."
He added: "The necessary place for this ceremony has been planned in front of the Maqam Mosque, and the courtyards, nightstands, and service spaces of the holy Jamkaran Mosque have also been prepared to host pilgrims and mourners."
Ojaqnejad referred to the readiness of the holy Jamkaran Mosque to hold the farewell ceremony and offer prayers over the holy bodies of the revolutionary leader and his family members, and said: "In the Maqam Mosque, the necessary place has been prepared for the placement of the bodies, and the space required for offering prayers and the presence of guests has also been provided."
Referring to the transfer of the holy bodies to Qom on Monday evening, the Custodian of the Holy Mosque of Jamkaran added: "Three places have been designated for the landing and take-off of helicopters carrying the holy bodies in the mosque compound, and after the transfer, a farewell ceremony will be held in the presence of religious authorities, scholars, and invited personalities."
