Prominent Iraqi figure: The world will witness the zeal of Iraqis in the funeral of the martyred leader

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Sheikh Hammam Hamoudi, chairman of the Supreme Islamic Council of Iraq, emphasized in his speech that the Iraqi nation will never leave those who stand by them alone, and the world will witness the zeal, loyalty, and devotion of Iraqis at the funeral ceremony of the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution, His Holiness Grand Ayatollah Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

 

According to the report of Sheikh Hamoudi’s media office, he stated: “The Iraqis will not leave anyone who stood by them alone, and the world will witness their zeal in the funeral ceremony of the martyred leader.”

 

Referring to the personality of the martyred leader, he added: “His Highness Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, by following the school of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) on the path of freedom, dignity and justice, was a symbol of resistance against oppression, arrogance and rebellion in the present era.”

 

According to the official Iraqi News Agency (INA), the head of the Supreme Islamic Council of Iraq also stated: “Martyr Khamenei had gathered asceticism, courage, patience, knowledge and accurate understanding of the enemy’s strategies in himself, and relying on these characteristics, he founded a powerful system and a capable people.”

 

Referring to the effects and consequences of the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Sheikh Hamoudi noted: “Thanks to the blood of the martyred leader, the Islamic Revolution of Iran was revived with a stronger spirit and a wider presence of the people, and it conveyed a clear message of resistance and perseverance against the enemies.”

 

Referring to the support of the martyred leader for Iraq, he also stated: “He was a friend of the Iraqi nation and always supported the process of consolidating the Islamic Revolution in this country. In difficult days, the martyred leader supported the Popular Mobilization Forces in the fight against the terrorist group ISIS by providing Iran’s military facilities and reserves.”

 

The head of the Supreme Islamic Council of Iraq emphasized once again: “The Iraqi nation will never forget this support, and the zeal, chivalry, and long-standing tradition of gratitude of the Iraqis will be magnificently manifested in welcoming and burying the holy body of the martyred Imam.”

 

He added in conclusion: "The martyred leader always worked to strengthen the bond between the seminaries of Qom and Najaf, and considered maintaining the cohesion and convergence of these two great scientific and religious centers to be among his priorities."
