Iranian Cultural Counselor Emphasizes Role of Women in Upholding Islamic Values

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) -: The conference “Iranian Women’s Reflection on the Quran, Commemorating the Martyrs of the Forty-Day War and the Martyr Imam of the Nation of Islam” was held today, Monday (15th of July 1405 AH), with the participation of Iranian women living in Afghanistan, cultural and Quranic women of Afghanistan, and with the efforts of the Cultural Counselor of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul.

 

At this ceremony, Dr. Seyyed Ruhollah Hosseini, the Cultural Advisor of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul, while honoring the memory of the martyrs of the Forty-Day War and the martyred Imam of the Islamic Ummah, His Eminence Ayatollah Khamenei (may Allah have mercy on him), described him as a Quranic figure, scholar, mujahid, and servant of the Islamic Ummah, and said that his martyrdom was the end of a glorious life full of struggle for the cause of Islam and the defense of Muslim nations.

 

Referring to the recent war, he stated that the enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran entered the field with the idea of ​​the rapid collapse of this country, but the resistance of the Iranian nation upset all their calculations. According to him, this victory was not only the result of military power, but also stemmed from faith, national unity, the culture of resistance, and the people’s reliance on the teachings of the Holy Quran and the school of Ahlul Bayt (AS).

 

The Cultural Advisor of the Islamic Republic of Iran considered the role of Iranian women as one of the important factors in maintaining social cohesion during the war and stated that the continuous presence of women alongside families and society prevented the realization of the goals of enemies and agitating groups. He added that Muslim women play a decisive role in strengthening the Islamic society by preserving their religious identity, chastity, and social responsibility.

 

Citing verses from the Holy Quran, Hosseini emphasized that Islam does not differentiate between men and women in achieving spiritual perfection and considers faith, piety, and righteous deeds to be the criteria for superiority. He added that in the eyes of the Quran, women are the axis of raising the generation, strengthening the family, and building the society, and their most important mission is to raise believing, aware, and responsible people.

 

He also compared the position of women in Islamic culture and Western civilization and stated that the dignity, psychological security, and true personality of Muslim women are preserved in the shadow of adherence to religious values, while women in Western societies, despite slogans of freedom, are facing moral, psychological, and identity crises.

 

The Cultural Counselor of the Islamic Republic of Iran continued to emphasize the need for continuous familiarity with the Holy Quran and said that the martyred Imam always called on people, especially women and youth, to recite the Quran daily, reflect on the divine verses, and act on its teachings. He added that returning to the Quran, strengthening faith, preserving Islamic identity, and educating the Quranic generation are the most important solutions to confront the cultural and social challenges of the Islamic world.

 

At the end of this conference, the participants emphasized the role of Muslim women in Iran and Afghanistan in safeguarding Islamic values, transmitting the culture of resistance, strengthening the foundation of the family, and educating the future generation, and considered the commemoration of the martyred Imam of the Islamic Ummah and the martyrs of the Forty-Day War as an opportunity to renew their commitment to the ideals of Islam, the Quran, and the Islamic resistance.
