Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: Iranian President Massoud Pazeshkian participated in the ceremony of welcoming the body of the Martyr Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
According to official sources, after arriving at Najaf International Airport, the Iranian President was officially welcomed by the Iraqi Prime Minister and a number of Iraqi officials.
During this short visit, in addition to attending the ceremony of welcoming the body of the Martyr Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Pazeshkian will also meet with the Iraqi Prime Minister and discuss issues of interest to both countries.
Earlier, Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi ordered that today, Wednesday, be declared an official holiday, coinciding with the funeral ceremony of the Martyr Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
The Iraqi Prime Minister's Media Office announced in a statement: "The Prime Minister has ordered that today, Wednesday, be declared an official holiday on the occasion of the funeral ceremony of the religious authority and leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei."
It is worth noting that the funeral ceremony of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, after the presence of millions of people in Tehran and Qom, will be held in Iraq tomorrow, Wednesday.
