The armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will give a crushing response to the US aggression and terrorist act and will not allow them to interfere in the affairs of the Strait of Hormuz and its management under any circumstances.
It is reiterated that the only safe passage for commercial ships and tankers in the Strait of Hormuz is the route determined by the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
IRGC: 85 strategic US positions targeted in joint missile and drone operations
The General Public Relations Office of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps also issued a statement announcing the initial response to the US attacks.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that its naval and aerospace forces, in a joint missile and drone operation, targeted 85 important US military installations in Port Salman, the headquarters of the US Fifth Naval Region in Bahrain, and the Ali Salem Air Base in Kuwait.
According to the statement, a US MQ-9 drone that was trying to interfere in the operation was also shot down during the operation.
The IRGC also described the US attacks this morning as a violation of the ceasefire and the Islamabad understanding, and announced that this operation was the only initial response of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the US aggression.
