Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The official funeral ceremony for the holy body of the martyred Imam of the Nation, His Highness Martyr Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, began among the multitude of mourners in Najaf Ashraf.
The ceremony began after the funeral of the holy body in the holy shrine of Imam Ali (AS) and at 6:00 AM local time, with the widespread presence of mourners of the martyrdom of the leader of the nation.
Since the early hours of this morning, an endless sea of mourners from all over Iraq have reached Najaf Ashraf. Field reports indicate that the large crowd of participants is moving towards the “Twenty-Second Revolution” intersection, the official starting point of the ceremony, after crossing the Kufa Bridge.
The atmosphere of Najaf Ashraf is filled with sadness and grief at these historic moments, and the sounds of elegy and epic slogans of the people have filled the entire city. The special vehicle carrying the holy bodies is also moving towards the main funeral route and Sadrin Square, amidst the tight circles of mourners.
Despite the large crowd, the law enforcement forces and organizing committees are trying to manage the routes and hold this ceremony as magnificently as possible. Currently, the eyes of millions of mourners are fixed on the routes leading to Sadrin Square, where people have gathered to bid a final farewell to the martyred Imam of the Ummah.
