Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: Zhong Peiwu, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Iran, in response to a question about Beijing's view on the current situation of the Strait of Hormuz and the future of the management of this waterway by Iran and Oman, stated that China considers the Strait of Hormuz to be one of the most important international shipping routes.
He said that Beijing supports the return of the Strait of Hormuz to normal conditions and considers the stability and security of this waterway important for global trade and transportation.
The Chinese Ambassador also emphasized that Iran, as one of the coastal countries of the Strait of Hormuz, has legitimate rights and the international community should respect these rights.
