Ansarullah: Sanaa-Tehran flights will continue; even if Saudi airports are paralyzed

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Hizam al-Assad, a member of the political bureau of the Yemeni Ansarullah movement, emphasizing the continuation of civilian flights between Sanaa and Tehran, announced: "Civil flights between Sanaa and Tehran will continue, even if this requires the paralysis of the activities of all Saudi Arabian airports."

 

These statements are made while on July 2, a Mahan Airlines plane was able to land at Sanaa airport after 15 years; An event that Ansar Allah and Yemeni media have described as breaking the air blockade of Yemen and an important step in reducing the human suffering of the people of this country.

 

In contrast, the organization known as the "Yemen Presidential Council", which is supported by Saudi Arabia, issued a statement calling the landing of the Mahan plane at Sanaa airport a "violation of Yemeni sovereignty" and a "challenge to international law".

 

The council, which was formed by Saudi Arabia and introduces itself as the legitimate government of Yemen, also called on Iran, as the organization claims, to stop interfering in Yemen's internal affairs and respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of this country.

 

The Yemeni Presidential Council also claimed that it would take the necessary political and military measures to prevent any attempt to violate Yemeni sovereignty, but did not provide details about these measures.

This is while the council did not mention in its statement the years of blockade and restrictions imposed on Yemen by the Saudi-led coalition and its humanitarian consequences for the people of this country.

 

Earlier, Yahya Saree, spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, emphasized the continuation of this air route and said: "Flights between Sanaa and Tehran will continue, God willing, to break the siege and reduce the suffering of the oppressed Yemeni people, regardless of any consequences and consequences."
