Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, during a visit to the northern Gaza Strip, proudly mentioned the extensive destruction caused by the regime’s attacks, calling it the result of a “calculated policy” to eliminate what he called “threats.”
According to Arab Media 21, Katz, in response to a question about his feelings about seeing the extensive destruction in Gaza, said: “It feels good, doesn’t it?” He claimed that the destruction was the result of a targeted policy.
Referring to the change in the regime's military operations, the Israeli Minister of War continued: "Instead of entering and leaving, the army is now stationed inside, armed people are outside, and houses have been destroyed."
At the same time, the Israeli Channel 14 reported that one of the most important aspects of the visit was the announcement of Katz's new plan to establish a permanent presence of Zionist settlers in the northern Gaza Strip.
Based on this plan, Katz announced his intention to establish three "Nahal" cells in areas that were the location of Zionist settlements before the Israeli regime withdrew from Gaza in 2005.
"Nahal" cells are groups with a military-settlement nature that were used in the past to establish new Zionist settlements and later became permanent civilian settlements.
Claiming that this measure is necessary for security reasons, Katz claimed that the establishment of these centers will help strengthen military control and protect the Zionist settlements; statements that, in the context of the ongoing war and crimes of the Zionist regime against the people of Gaza, are considered a sign of Tel Aviv's efforts to consolidate the occupation and expand settlement construction in this strip.
