Maritime incident off the coast of Oman; A missile hit an oil tanker
The UK Maritime Trade Operations Organization announced a maritime incident in the waters southeast of the Lima region off the coast of Oman, saying an oil tanker was damaged by a missile. The organization also announced the launch of an investigation into the extent of the incident and warned passing vessels to exercise caution.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The UK Maritime Trade Operations Organization (UKMTO) announced today (Tuesday) that a maritime incident occurred 13 nautical miles southeast of the Lima region off the coast of Oman.

According to the organization’s statement, an oil tanker was damaged by a missile while passing through the southern route. The organization announced that the investigation into the extent and details of the incident is still ongoing.

The UK Maritime Trade Operations Organization also warned passing vessels in the area to continue their navigation with full caution to avoid any potential danger.

This incident comes after the same organization reported a similar incident this morning about 74 kilometers east of the town of Qalhat, Oman. According to that report, an oil tanker caught fire after being hit by an unidentified projectile.
