Oil prices hit highest level in a month; escalation of tensions in the Persian Gulf inflamed the market
Following escalation of tensions and US aggression against Iran in the Persian Gulf region and increasing concerns about disruption of ship traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, global oil prices rose by more than two percent and reached their highest level in the past four weeks.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Global oil prices today (Tuesday) jumped by more than two percent to their highest level in the past month following escalation of military tensions in the Persian Gulf region and concerns about disruption of energy exports.

According to Al Jazeera, the increase in US aggression against Iran in the Persian Gulf region and disruption of ship traffic in the Strait of Hormuz are considered to be the main factors driving the growth of oil prices in global markets.

According to the report, the price of Brent crude oil futures rose by 2.5 percent to $85.60 per barrel. Meanwhile, RT reported that Brent crude oil prices have crossed $86 per barrel for the first time since June 12.

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures also rose 2.74 percent to $80.28 per barrel.

Oil prices are now at their highest level since the signing of the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States on June 17, indicating the direct impact of security developments in the Persian Gulf on the global energy market.
