According to published reports, the UAE-owned tanker Al Bahiya was targeted off the coast of Oman, and Oman’s maritime security agency announced that three of the ship’s crew are missing.

In another incident, a Liberian-flagged tanker, said to be based in the UAE, was targeted. According to Oman’s maritime security, 21 of the tanker’s crew managed to abandon ship and were rescued.
 
At the same time, the UK Maritime Trade Operations Organization (UKMTO) announced this morning that a maritime incident occurred 13 nautical miles southeast of the Lima area in Oman. The organization announced that an oil tanker was hit by a missile while passing through the southern route, and an investigation into the details of the incident is ongoing. UKMTO has also warned vessels near the scene of the incident to proceed with caution.
