China: US attacks on Iran have brought the world to a dangerous brink

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The Chinese ambassador to the United Nations, criticizing the recent US attacks on Iran, announced that these actions have once again brought the region to the brink of a dangerous crisis and have paved the way for increased tensions in West Asia.

 

According to Al Jazeera, "Sun Li" stressed in response to the statements of the US representative to the United Nations that the widespread US attacks on Iran have brought the world to the "dangerous brink" and the current priority should be to prevent the escalation of conflicts in the region.

 

These statements came after Mike Waltz, the US ambassador to the UN, claimed that China was not doing enough to prevent the transfer of certain goods to Iran and Ansar Allah in Yemen.

 

During the Security Council meeting, Waltz claimed that he was referring to “dual-use items” and “satellite images” that, according to him, are being provided to Iran and Ansar Allah in Yemen and can be used in military operations in addition to civilian purposes.

 

In response to these claims, the Chinese ambassador clarified that in the current situation, the most important issue is for the United States to stop creating new conflicts and chaos in the Middle East and to refrain from actions that will spread the crisis.

 

These statements are made at a time when, after the recent US attacks on southern regions of Iran, the Islamic Republic of Iran has considered this action a clear violation of the ceasefire and the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.

 

In this regard, Amir Saeed Iravani, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations, sent an official letter to the Security Council accusing the United States of purposefully obstructing the implementation of the memorandum of understanding and emphasizing that Washington is continuously moving towards weakening the implementation of this agreement.

 

Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters has also warned that if the war spreads, its fire will engulf the entire region and the responsibility for any escalation of insecurity and spread of conflicts will lie with the United States and the countries that cooperate with its forces.
