Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The fifth meeting of the Joint Consular Committee of Afghanistan and Iran was held in Kabul under the chairmanship of Dr. Mohammad Naeem, Deputy Minister of Finance and Administration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, and Vahid Jalalzadeh, Deputy Minister of Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the delegations of the two countries discussed the problems of Afghan refugees, the provision of consular services, and other related issues in this meeting, and exchanged views on issues of common interest and interests.
According to the report, the two sides also pledged to continue regular meetings of the Joint Consular Committee in the future in order to strengthen consular cooperation, improve the process of providing services, and expedite the resolution of existing problems.
Afghanistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran have held joint consular meetings periodically in recent years to address consular issues, the situation of Afghan refugees, facilitate the provision of services to citizens of the two countries, and expand bilateral cooperation.
Given the presence of a large number of Afghan refugees in Iran, the development of consular cooperation and coordination between the two countries is an important issue in bilateral relations.
