Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Investment today (Saturday) issued a press release saying that Sayed Karim Hashemi, the head of the chamber, met with the Indian Ambassador and discussed ways to develop trade and increase investment between Afghanistan and India.
In this meeting, the two sides emphasized the need to increase Afghanistan's exports to India, simplify trade procedures, facilitate the issuance of business visas, improve logistics services and strengthen cooperation in the agriculture, mining and handicraft sectors.
Also, holding joint trade exhibitions, exchanging trade delegations and creating areas for long-term cooperation between the private sectors of Afghanistan and India were other topics raised in this meeting.
Afghanistan and India have had trade and economic relations in recent years, and sectors such as agricultural products, handicrafts, medicine, mining, and services are important areas of cooperation between the two countries. Economic activists have always emphasized creating more convenience for trade, reducing transit barriers, and increasing communication between businessmen of the two countries.
