Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Maulvi Zamir Osmani, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, met with Mikael Tasdemir, head of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) in Afghanistan, to discuss ways to expand joint cooperation in the agricultural sector and implement development projects.
The press office of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock issued a press release saying that in this meeting, the two sides discussed the development of agricultural cooperation, supporting farmers, increasing production capacities, and implementing new programs in this sector.
Appreciating the cooperation of TIKA in Afghanistan, Prime Minister Osmani said that this organization and the IHH organization have had effective cooperation in various agricultural sectors in the past years.
He added that the Ministry of Agriculture wants to expand this cooperation, increase agricultural activities, and implement more projects to grow domestic production and strengthen the capabilities of the country's farmers.
Meanwhile, Mikael Tasdemir, the head of TIKA in Afghanistan, presented a report on the activities of this organization and said that this organization will continue its cooperation in the agricultural sector of Afghanistan, in addition to implementing educational programs, establishing greenhouses, and development projects.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides emphasized the continuation of joint cooperation, transferring experiences, improving production capacities, and supporting the farming community.
