Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The Washington Post newspaper claimed, citing an American official, that America is preparing for a wider war against Iran.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Sunday that an American soldier was killed during an operation in Iraq and that the remains of another soldier were discovered at the site of an Iranian missile attack on a US base in Jordan.
According to the report, with the continued exchange of attacks between Iran and the US, the number of American soldiers killed since the resumption of the clashes has reached at least three and possibly four.
Referring to this issue, the Washington Post added, citing American officials, that the United States is planning to carry out a wider war against Iran.
The official also announced that the Pentagon is increasing the number of US military aircraft in the region to bolster its operational capabilities, a move that could signal Washington’s readiness to escalate the conflict with Iran.
