Renovation and preparation of a MI-17 helicopter by the country's air force

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of National Defense announced in a press release that an MI-17 helicopter belonging to the Air Force General Command has been successfully renovated and re-entered the operational cycle after 13 months of major renovation, technical tests and technical assessments.

 

According to the ministry's press release, all stages of the renovation of this helicopter were carried out by engineers and technicians of the Air Force General Command and after completing the necessary tests, it has achieved full readiness to carry out flight missions.

 

Ministry of Defense officials have described the helicopter's restoration as an important step towards increasing operational readiness, strengthening the technical and logistical capabilities of the Air Force, and continuing the repair and preparation programs for aircraft.

 

In recent months, the Ministry of Defense has announced the continuation of the process of rebuilding and rehabilitating equipment and aircraft. According to the ministry, using the domestic capabilities of engineers and technicians in repairing helicopters and aircraft is part of the programs to strengthen technical self-sufficiency, increase combat readiness, and improve the operational capacity of the Afghan Air Force.
