Iraqi Scholar: Saudi Arabia Welcomed the New Prime Minister by Killing Our Children
Ayatollah Sayyed Yasin Al-Moussawi, a prominent professor at the Najaf Ashraf Seminary, referring to Saudi Arabia's recent attacks on Iraq, said that Riyadh welcomed the Iraqi Prime Minister by killing the children of the Iraqi nation and attacking the country, and at the same time warned against conspiracies to weaken the resistance and the Popular Mobilization Forces.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Ayatollah Sayyed Yasin Al-Moussawi, a prominent professor at the Najaf Ashraf Seminary, emphasized the deep emotional and religious bond of the Iraqi people with Imam Abu Abdullah Al-Hussein (AS), saying: This bond has been manifested in the Iraqi people's support and response to the transformative and divine project of Imam Hussein (AS) in the political, cultural, military, security and economic fields.

He stated: “The greatness of this country and our nation is that God has placed the love of Imam Hussein (AS) and the Husseini rituals in our personality and existence, and in the depths of the general conscience of the Iraqi people, a deep bond has been formed between them and the Master of the Martyrs (AS); whether we interpret this depth from an emotional and conscientious perspective or from a fundamental and doctrinal perspective, its meaning is the same.”

Al-Musawi added: “History has shown the Iraqi people from the period after the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) until today that they have responded to Imam Hussein (AS) as a divine and transformative project and have strived to realize the word of God on earth in the political, cultural, military, security and economic spheres.”

He continued: “This project is Islam and Shiism; the same truth that we refer to with the expression that Islam is the existence of Muhammad and the survival of Hussein.”

Referring to the efforts of rulers and tyrants throughout history to remove the identity of Hussein from the Iraqi people, Al-Moussawi stated: These efforts have always ultimately led to the downfall of those same regimes and rulers.

He emphasized: “No one, in any period of history and with any power they may have, can separate this belief and deep emotional and heartfelt bond from our personality and existence.”

The Arba’in pilgrimage; a divine project to pave the way for the emergence
In another part of his speech, Al-Moussawi addressed the Arba’in pilgrimage and described it as “a divine project that pave the way for the emergence of our Master, the Master of the Age and Time (aj).

He said: “The Arba’in pilgrimage cannot be considered to have small and simple concepts, as some ignorant people try to introduce it. This is a great phenomenon that tens of millions of people from different countries of the world attend, and people from dozens of countries travel to Iraq to visit the grave of the Master of the Martyrs (AS).

Referring to the concerns of the US and the Zionist regime about holding the grand Arbaeen pilgrimage, Al-Moussawi stated: “Colonialism is afraid of this pilgrimage; the Americans are afraid of it, and the Israelis are also afraid of it. Statements have also been published by them in the global media, and they have even spent huge amounts of money on the media and false and cheap propaganda streams to prevent people from participating in it by creating doubts about this pilgrimage.”

Al-Moussawi also referred to the efforts of the US and Saudi Arabia to thwart this year’s Arbaeen pilgrimage, saying: “Pressuring Iraq and dragging the war to the south of this country, which today hosts tens of millions of Iraqi and non-Iraqi pilgrims, from Shiites and Sunnis to Muslims, Christians and Sabians, is aimed at defeating and thwarting this pilgrimage.”

He called on the Iraqi people to adhere to this religious ritual and not allow the US and the Zionist regime to interfere in it.

Al-Moussawi stated: “All of us, Iraqis, Iranians and the people of the Persian Gulf countries, must be united and vigilant against the conspiracies that Saudi Arabia, the UAE and some Persian Gulf countries are planning to create a rift between us and the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

He continued by addressing Iraqi leaders and officials: “Do not give in to Trump’s demands; I swear to God, he will not give you any of the promises he has made.”

Al-Moussawi added: “The Iraqi Prime Minister went to Trump and what happened happened; however, he returned with hopes and on this basis he intended to go to Saudi Arabia and make agreements with them, but Saudi Arabia ultimately welcomed him by killing our children, attacking our armed forces and starting a war against us.”

He emphasized the need for unity and vigilance against conspiracies, saying: "Iraq needs a powerful armed force capable of protecting the country's skies and soil."
